Hello, and welcome to my website. I’m Jennie Ensor. I write mysteries, thrillers, psychological suspense and crime fiction, ranging from gritty to cosy in style and often threaded with dark humour. I’m also a keen walker, cyclist and swimmer, and like nothing better than a new challenge, whether in life or in my writing.

Some years ago I gave up journalism to write novels and go on long walks with the dog, who lives to play, chew, lick and romp. He doesn’t angst about goals not met, things not done or too much time spent doing the wrong things – I’m still trying to learn from him! This blog contains info on what I’m up to, my thoughts on books I’ve read and on being an author in today’s world, along with random reflections on life and the importance of furry friends.
